Community Programs
As a church for the community, Crossroads:
(1) Provides programs meeting real needs
(2) Allows use of our building every day
(3) Is actively involved with community organizations
(4) Helps raise "consciousness of and funds for" local causes
(1) Programs Meeting Real Needs (a sampling):
- Cell Groups (small groups meeting in homes generally once every two weeks)
Casual low-key meetings to meet new friends and grow spiritually through sharing and prayer, together with discussion and life application around a particular theme or section of the Bible.
- Math SAT Course (7 sessions given twice yearly - Sept. thru Nov. & Feb. thru Apr.)
Cost is nominal and a portion of each registration is donated to a local cause.
- Children's Worship and Middle School Youth (both programs run during the adult message each Sunday Worship and have teaching, discussion on the student's level).
Children's worship is for 4 levels: Pre-K, Early Elementary, Elementary, & Upper Elementary. Middle School Youth is for 11 to 14 year olds. Senior High Youth meets twice monthly before Sunday worship. Additionally there are Thursday youth nights, retreats and more.
- Crossroads CoffeeHouse (monthly showcase of local talent, often original music)
A great smokeless, de-stressing night out, always 2nd Saturday of each month from 8-10 p.m. Donation, with gourmet coffees, teas and desserts for sale
For parents and teachers of AD/HD children and teens (meeting monthly on Friday evenings from 7:30-9 p.m., generally 2nd Friday of each month) We are an official Satellite of
CHADD.- Understand the Bible in 3 Short Hours
An annual seminar appropriate for folks of any or no religious persuasion. This seminar gives a grounding in the Bible's uniqueness, structure, story, timeline and unity. Cost is $15 and includes a 75 page visual binder of material.
- Annual Safe-Community Halloween Party
Crossroads hosts a "Safe Community" Halloween Party for kids and parents, featuring: pumpkin painting and carving, many other activities, games and lots of refreshments. A great opportunity for parent/child interaction.
(2) Use of Our Building:
- Two AA groups:
One on Tuesdays (4-5 p.m.) for Alcoholics only; and one on Saturdays (10-11 a.m.) - a promises meeting to share experiences, strength and hope with each other, so we may solve our common problems and help each other to recover from alcoholism. Open to anyone interested in the
AA program of recovery.(3) Involvement with Community Organizations:

In 2001 Pastor Ingeneri received the Humanitarian of the Year award from the Chamber of Commerce and in 2002, along with the Mayor and Executive Director of the International Trade Center, was chosen by the Mt. Olive Public Library as a Pillar of the Community.
(4) Partnership with Local Groups:
Since our beginning, we've raised consciousness and money (over $8000 to date) for local community causes, such as: social services, police, volunteer fire & rescue, new public library building fund, Robert Cotter memorial fund, and Christopher Bazur fund, character education at Mt Olive High School etc.
